How To Make A Poke Bowl Like A True Hawaii Local
“So, just how does one craft their very own tasty bowl of raw, chewy, sometimes crunchy goodness? To find that out, we went to the land from which it came (Hawaii) and asked the experts: Al Cobb-Adams, owner of Da Poke Shack, currently number one on Yelp’s Top 100, and chef Andres Bravo, a former sushi chef-turned-private chef for Hale Aina, who was trained at the famed 2-Michelin star Mugaritz and has privately cooked for a lineup of A-list celebs, including Rihanna, Jessica Simpson and Alanis Morissette.”

Da Poke Shack
“When I’m in my girlfriend’s home state of New Mexico, I eat green chiles for days (mostly on burgers at Blake’s Lotaburger). Big Island Hawaii Hole In The Walls, Mom and Pops Restaurants
“So what is so special about Da Poke Shack? Three things: fresh fish, amazing recipes, and great value! For those who are unfamiliar with poke (pronounced Poh-Keh and translated to “sliced”), it is simply cubed pieces of raw tuna that are tossed in a simple wet sauce and seasoning. This simple preparation allows you to enjoy the natural flavors of the ahi that are enhanced by the sauce.”
